Heyman & Associates, PLLC is a small and dynamic public accounting firm in Round Rock, TX seeking a permanent part-time or full-time staff accountant to join our team. We are seeking an energetic, detail-oriented individual with a full range of experience in accounting, tax preparation, and business advisory services.Essential FunctionsPerform a broad range of accounting services including, but not limited to, bookkeeping, payroll, tax planning and tax preparation, and various aspects of business advisory under the direction of the principalsDemonstrate commitment to competency in technical skill, work quality, efficiency, and application of professional and firm standardsPrepare and complete reports, projects, work papers, and duties as assigned or determinedProvide full service and personal attention to all firm clients developing and maintaining long term relationshipsOrganize client data, analyze information, and prepare tax returns including forms 1040, 1065, 1120, 1120S, 1041Meet time constraints and deadlinesRequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting (required), or Master's degree in Accounting (preferred)Licensed Certified Public Accountant (preferred), or CPA CandidateEnrolled Agent if not a licensed CPAMust have 3 + years experience in public accounting and tax preparationExcellent written, oral communication and presentation skillsExperience with Lacerte tax software is a plus
