John Waldron HR Matters – Oralia Waldron Job Overview A law office
bookkeeper manages a law firm's financial records, focusing on
specialized tasks like client billing. They ensure compliance with
handling accounts payable/receivable. Responsibilities and Duties •
Daily Transaction Management: Accurately record accounts receivable
using QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop. • Bank & Credit
Reconciliation: Identify and resolve discrepancies. • Accounts
Receivable (A/R): Generate and send customer invoices, texts and
calls to track payments, and follow up on overdue balances. •
Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual
reports, including Profit and Loss (P&L) statements, Balance
Sheets, and Cash Flow statements. • Compliance & Tax Prep: Organize
financial documentation for monthly expense reports, annual tax
filings, and support accounting documentation (receipts).during
audits. • Generate and analyze monthly financial reports. •
Maintain books audit-ready and compliant with best practices. •
Ensuring financial transactions' accuracy • Recording daily
transactions (client billings, payments, etc.) • Posting debits and
credits to the general ledger and CampLegal • Preparing invoices
and processing payments Required Skills and Qualifications • 3
years of previous experience in accounting or full-charge
bookkeeping experience in the legal industry (preferable) •
Bilingual: English & Spanish (preferable). • Excellent
organizational and communication abilities. • Ability to work
independently, meet deadlines, and proactively flag issues. •
Professional, trustworthy, and highly reliable. • Attention to
Detail: Extremely detail-oriented in data entry to prevent errors
that could impact financial health or legal compliance. • Data
Accuracy: Meticulously recording and categorizing transactions. •
Time Management: Meeting tight, recurring deadlines for billing and
reconciliations. • H.S. diploma or equivalent, some college
preferred - bachelor’s degree is a plus • Proficient with Microsoft
Office, Excel, and accounting software, and must have Quickbooks
Online experience and knowledge. • Ability to multi-task and be
flexible/adaptable. • Excellent critical thinking skills. • Ability
to maintain strict confidentiality & have a professional demeanor.
• Preparation of IRS Forms, i.e. 1099, W-2, W-9, 1040 & 2848

management • Managing a high-volume phone (phone calls and text
messages) Education and Experience • High School Diploma or GED •
College degree preferred • Immigration Law experience preferred Job
Type Full-Time 40-hour work week. M-F, 8a-5p, with 1-hour lunch
