As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment at a bustling retail location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to provide reassurance to staff and visitors, and responding promptly to any security-related concerns. This is an armed and driving post, requiring you to carry out your duties with professionalism and a strong sense of responsibility. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $14.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeTue02:00 PM - 11:00 PMWed01:00 PM - 06:00 PM What You’ll Do: - Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites - Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education - Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams - Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service - Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities: - Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. - Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate de-escalation techniques as needed. - Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior. - Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas within the retail environment to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other prohibited activities. - Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential disturbances and provide assistance to customers and staff as needed. - Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and/or hazards according to Allied Universal and client protocols. - Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when required, following established procedures. What We’re Looking For: - Availability across various days and shifts - Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments - A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company - Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Minimum Requirements: - CPR and First Aid certification is preferred. - A valid driver’s license is required for positions that involve driving and must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements. - Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. - Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. - Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs. - Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. - A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
