2-3 days in officeNo 3rd PartiesWe seek a Senior Data Engineer
(Snowflake) for a Contract to Hire role in a Hybrid office located
in Austin, TX.Your JobAs a Senior Data Engineer, you will be
responsible for designing, building, and overseeing deployment and
operation of AWS Cloud solutions to capture, manage, store, and
utilize structured and unstructured data from multiple sources. You
will be expected to establish and build data structures based on
business and technical requirements to meet analysis, reporting,
and analytical needs across the organization, while ensuring the
integrity of the data. Additionally, you will be expected to
provide Data Engineering support for areas such as Finance, Sales,
Business Intelligence, Product Development, and other business
users.The WorkWorking with data consumers and Project Managers to
determine logical and physical database designs for analytics
models.Creating and maintaining optimal data pipeline
architectures.Ensuring architectures are aligned with and support
business requirements.Ensuring that required data is available, can
be trusted and is readily accessible by those who need
it.Influencing the data infrastructure roadmap.Identifying,
designing, and implementing internal data management process
improvements.Playing a key role in application development projects
to evolve the companys database architecture and design.Working
with internal and external data providers on data validation,
providing feedback and making customized changes to data feeds and
data mappings for analytical and operational use.Automating manual
processes, transforming them into repeatable capabilities.Working
with fellow team members to ensure design, development, and
execution align with and support adjacencies and adhere to
established architectural standards.Providing Data Engineering
support for areas such as Finance, Sales, Business Intelligence,
Product Development, and other business users.Developing and
deploying data models, ETL processes, and data warehouse
solutions.Designing and building data pipelines and data ingestion
processes.Developing and maintaining data quality
processes.Developing and maintaining data security
processes.Developing and maintaining data governance
processes.Performing data analysis and data profiling.Identifying
and resolving data quality issues.Developing and deploying data
visualizations.Developing and deploying data
dashboards.QualificationsBachelors degree in Computer Science or
related field plus 4+ years of relevant work experience; or a
Master's degree plus 2+ years of relevant work experience; or a PhD
plus 0-1 years of relevant experience.Excellent with SQL.Excellent
programming skills in Python and ideally demonstrating an aptitude
via experience with multiple languages.Excellent understanding of
patterns for data ingest into data warehouse, ingest, cleansing,
standardizing, etc., in addition to different data structures like
normalized, denormalized, star.Excellent experience supporting
Snowflake Data Warehouse, including Snowpipe (including streams),
tasks, transformations, views, dynamic tables. This should include
advanced skills in ensuring efficient utilization of Snowflake
compute and the ability to optimize workloads and warehouse.Broad
experience with Cloud PaaS capabilities, ideally AWS CloudWatch,
Lambda, Step Functions, SNS/SQS, DynamoDB, etc.Experience utilizing
reporting and data insights tools.Experience in supporting
analytics teams data needs, in addition to customer and business
reporting.Nice to HaveExperience in data modeling and data
architecture.Experience with data governance and data quality
assurance processes.Experience with data visualization tools such
as Tableau, PowerBI, or Qlik.Experience with NoSQL
databases.Experience with cloud-native technologies.Experience with
