Job Description:

Cargill is seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our dedicated team in the Food & Beverage Operations department. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficiency and operational effectiveness of refrigeration systems used across our food processing facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of refrigeration systems and be committed to sustainability and safety protocols, in line with our mission to nourish and sustain the global community. Perform routine and emergency maintenance on all refrigeration equipment, ensuring compliance with all safety, environmental, and operational standards. Install, troubleshoot, and repair various types of refrigeration units, including industrial-sized compressors, condensers, and evaporators. Monitor and optimize the performance of refrigeration systems, implementing improvements to reduce energy consumption and costs. Keep detailed records of inspections, maintenance routines, and repairs performed on refrigeration equipment. Collaborate with other technical teams to coordinate maintenance and repair activities, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. Stay updated on latest industry technologies and safety standards to implement innovative solutions in refrigeration maintenance and operations. Profound knowledge of refrigeration cycles and systems. Ability to diagnose and fix both mechanical and electronic components of refrigeration systems. Experience with hazardous material handling and compliance with safety regulations. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Effective communication skills for documenting processes and collaborating with other technical staff.
