Hi-Tek Manufacturing is searching for experienced 2nd shift CNC Grind Operators who wish to advance his or her career in advanced manufacturing technology by executing a higher level of workmanship. Hi-Tek offers a clean, climate-controlled environment and we believe in quality and safety above all else. 1st shift 7:00am-3:30pm Mon-Fri OT may be required as needed. 2nd shift 3:30pm-12:00am Mon-Fri OT may be required as needed. $20- $30 Per Hr Plus a 15% Shift Differential for 2nd Shift Hi-Tek is a Drug-Free Workplace and conducts pre-employment drug and background screening and random drug screening. Essential Duties and Tasks: * CBN (cubic boron nitrate) plated wheel grinding radial. * Follow all Hi-Tek policies and procedures, including the use of proper PPE. * Analyze and interpret Op sheets, blueprints, mechanical drawings, and travelers to produce products that meet or exceed customer specifications. * Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to customer specifications, using precision measuring tools and equipment as necessary. * Maintain working knowledge of CNC principles, including G and M codes. * Maintain working knowledge of rotary/linear axes. * Selects, aligns, and secures fixtures, grinding wheels, and workpieces on machines as necessary to machine parts as required. * Analyze, interpret CMM reports, and properly offset machine dimensions to meet customer specifications. * Perform Deburr operations to within specified tolerances. * Operate overhead crane when necessary. * Report proper labor hours in the ERP system. * Maintains a safe and clean work environment by performing daily housekeeping duties. * Capable of running multiple machines, when assigned. * Demonstrates the ability to lift 25 pounds occasionally. * Any other duties as assigned to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and abide by our organization's values. * Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishment. * Always take ownership and be accountable for your actions. * Good and reliable attendance and a positive attitude are a must. Physical Conditions: * Lift, push and/or pull 35 pounds. * Stand at least 95% of the scheduled shift. * Routinely perform reaching, twisting, bending, and grasping in order to move and set tools, equipment and material. * Perform under AS9100 standards. Qualifications, Education and Experience: * High school diploma or GED required. * Duty related experience or/or including milling or lathe experience required - Min 1 yr. * Ability to perform basic math functions. * Troubleshooting/problem-solving skills * Must be a United States Citizen, or a US Permanent Resident This job description is a tool to be followed.
