ROLEAs the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will serve as the
pinnacle financial authority within the company, overseeing the
fiscal integrity and strategic financial planning that drives
organizational success. The CFO is responsible for managing the
company's finances, including financial planning, management of
financial risks, record-keeping, financial reporting, and the
analysis of data. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will play a
crucial role in decision-making processes affecting the company's
financial health and compliance with regulation frameworks, while
also ensuring the effectiveness of the finance and accounting
teams.Duties/Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Steer the company's financial planning
and processes, including oversight of financial reports, budgets,
and forecasts to align with strategic business goals.
- Financial Oversight and Analysis: Regularly evaluate the
company's financial performance, identifying trends, and ensuring
that the financials reflect the business's operational reality.
Lead the financial due diligence for strategic initiatives and
partnerships.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure adherence to GAAP standards
and regulatory requirements, adjusting practices to reflect changes
in the regulatory landscape. Manage relationships and processes
involving auditors, regulators, and other financial entities.
- Risk Management: Oversee rigorous financial analysis and risk
assessment for potential mergers, acquisitions, and other business
opportunities or threats.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with other senior leaders,
the board of directors, and the CEO, providing strategic financial
input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the
organization.
- Technological and Market Adaptability: Monitor and anticipate
technological and market changes impacting the financial strategy,
propelling forward-thinking and proactive adjustments.
- Develop and Execute IPO Strategies: You will lead the
development of financial processes, systems, and reporting
frameworks to prepare for a future IPO, including SOX compliance,
SEC reporting, and enhanced governance. This role involves guiding
a cross-functional team, collaborating with external partners, and
driving financial transparency and audit readiness to meet public
investor expectations.
- Public and Private Market Leadership: Leverage private-market
expertise to guide financial decision-making in growth-focused,
private equity, or venture-backed environments. Apply
public-company experience to develop reporting systems that manage
investor expectations, prepare for IPO scenarios, and ensure SEC
compliance.Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business
Administration or other related field (or equivalent work
experience) required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree
preferred.
- 15+ years of prior work experience in financial services.
- 10+ years of experience as a people manager.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required.
- Proficiency in financial reporting and tax compliance.
- A strategic, proactive mindset geared towards innovative
financial management.
- Outstanding interpersonal relationship skills and the ability
to manage and orchestrate significant outcomes under regulatory
constraints.
- Passion for excellence, aggressive pursuit of results, and a
profound commitment to organizational growth.Other Preferred
Qualifications
- Past leadership role in a FINRA regulated or financial clearing
firm.
- FINRA Series 7 and 27 Licenses (or willingness to obtain).
- Industry Acumen: Deep understanding of financial management
within the clearing or financial services industry.
- Reputation: Credible and verifiable reputation with a track
record of integrity in financial management.
- Strategic Vision: Demonstrated capability to deliver strategic
insights and leadership in financial planning and
execution.Required Skills/Abilities

financial concepts and engaging with strategic discussion.

and due diligence to evaluate potential mergers, acquisitions, and
divestitures, ensuring alignment with organizational growth
objectives.

drive a team towards high performance and foster professional
growth.
- Innovative Thinking: Ability to think strategically and adapt
to changes in the business environment rapidly.
- Detail-Oriented: Rigorous attention to detail in all financial
