We partner with our Nurses at St. David's Round Rock Medical Center!Job Summary and QualificationsAs an Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurse (RN), you will conduct initial and ongoing assessment of the patient, develop a family-centered patient care plan, and identify and correct variances from the patient care path. You will also be responsible for discharge planning.
    • You will assess and evaluate patient needs
    • You will provide health care teaching, as well as psychological and social support to the patient and their families
    • You will ensure that all physician orders for patients are noted and correctly transcribed
    • You will keep the physician, Emergency Department (ED) Director, Manager, Supervisor, and/or Charge Nurse aware of significant information regarding the patient and their family
    • You will facilitate interdisciplinary discharge planning by identifying needs, assisting with discharge teaching, and coordinating families and other servicesJob RequirementsExperience
      • 1 year of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)Education
        • Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program
        • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) - preferredLicenses and Certification
          • Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License. If Compact License, Texas license must be obtained within 90 days of hire
          • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per St. David's Healthcare policy
          • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) OR Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification per St. David's Healthcare policy within 6 months of hire
          • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) OR Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENCP) certification per St. David's Healthcare policy required within 12 months of hire
          • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification per St. David's Healthcare policy required within 12 months of hire
            • National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification per St. David's Healthcare policy required within 6 months of hireSt. David's Round Rock Medical Center is a 150+ bed acute-care facility located north of Austin, Texas.
