Summary and Qualifications As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the
Arrhythmia’s and Atrial Fibrillation Center, you will serve a
specific population of patients with any diagnosis of cardiac
arrhythmia. Your primary will be to foster patient empowerment and
provide patients with information that enhances their ability to
make appropriate health care choices and receive medical care with
an enhanced sense of confidence about risks, benefits and
responsibilities. * You will assist in addressing
patients/family/referring physician concerns pre and post procedure
* You will facilitate discharge of the patient from the hospital
following procedures by providing post-procedure education to the
patient and family of what to expect and who to call * You will be
responsible for reporting patient progress and future needs to
Electrophysiology (EP) physicians, Nurse Practitioners and EP staff
* You will be responsible for coordinating care with collaborating
services for patient management and follow up * You will be
responsible for reviewing all diagnostic imaging studies, lab
values and notify Physician as appropriate for abnormal findings *
You will coordinate information among the referring, primary care
and valve clinic physicians, the research team and ancillary
departments Requirements Experience * 4 years of experience as a
Registered Nurse working in Cardiac Care * Previous experience in
Electrophysiology – preferred Education * Bachelors of Science in
Nursing (BSN) Licenses and Certifications * Current State of Texas
Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing
License. If Compact License, Texas license must be obtained within
90 days of hire * Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per St.
