Responsibilities Program Director – Comprehensive Sickle Cell Disease Program Dell Children’s Medical Group & The Blood and Cancer Center of Central Texas is seeking a dynamic, mission-driven Program Director to lead and expand our Comprehensive Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) Program, a NASCC site. This is a unique opportunity to advance clinical excellence, implement innovative care models, and strengthen community engagement for pediatric patients with SCD across Central Texas. Board-certified/board- eligible in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology required. Our program currently cares for ~250 patients, supported by a dedicated team that includes advanced practice providers, a program coordinator, social work, and psychology. We emphasize multidisciplinary care and collaborate closely on joint initiatives in pain management, pulmonary hypertension, moyamoya/vasculopathy, and quality improvement. Key Responsibilities: Provide clinical leadership for the multidisciplinary SCD program Oversee care delivery, quality improvement, and patient outcomes Foster partnerships with academic, community, and advocacy stakeholders Develop, implement, and evaluate evidence-based protocols to drive program growth As the clinical partner site for Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin , you will also play an active role in the education and training of future physicians. Board-eligible/board-certified pediatric hematology-oncology fellowship graduates or experienced physicians are encouraged to apply. Our team includes 13 experienced Pediatric Hematology-Oncology physicians who diagnose, manage, and treat all forms of childhood cancers, blood disorders, bone marrow failure syndromes, and patients in our recently launched Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) program.
