About the Unit: 30 bed medical/surgical ICU specializing in cardiovascular surgical care Patient to Nurse ratio 2:1 Nationally recognized Beacon Award winning unit for Nursing Excellence Comprehensive educational offerings, including physician presentations Proficiency training for specialty equipment Experienced charge nurses and unit leadership This specialized ICU offers the opportunity and educational resources to become certified in Critical Care – plus you’ll earn a bonus each year you maintain the certification! What is required: Graduate of an accredited diploma, associate or baccalaureate degree in nursing required BSN preferred Minimum of 1 year working as a Registered Nurse (RN) required 3 years of RN experience in an ICU setting preferred Current Texas licensure as a Registered Nurse required. If Compact RN license, must have TX RN license within 90 days of hire. Methodist Hospital Texsan is a 120 bed acute care hospital.
