How you’ll make an impact in this role - Monitor and interpret real-time EKG/telemetry data for a diverse patient population, including post-procedural cardiac patients and trauma victims, identifying lethal arrhythmias or subtle waveform changes to initiate immediate life-saving interventions. - Provide high-acuity nursing care for patients recovering from multisystem trauma, myocardial infarctions, or complex surgeries, managing titrated intravenous medications and advanced monitoring equipment within a fast-paced Level 2 trauma environment. - Conduct frequent, comprehensive physical assessments to detect early signs of clinical deterioration; serve as a key member of the Rapid Response Team to stabilize patients and coordinate urgent transfers to higher levels of care when necessary. - Collaborate with trauma surgeons, cardiologists, and the broader healthcare team to develop and execute complex discharge plans, ensuring seamless transitions of care and providing robust education to patients and families on cardiac health and injury recovery. What minimum requirements you’ll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: - BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. - Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Education: - Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire. What additional preferences we're seeking No additional preferences.
