Join a collaborative Emergency Department (ED) team serving the Austin area. Job Details - Location: Round Rock, TX 78681 (Austin area) — ideal for Texas nursing jobs and travel nurse positions - Assignment Length: 13 weeks - Start Date: March 16, 2026 - End Date: June 15, 2026 - Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), rotating weekends - Hours per Week: 36 - Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,460–$1,540/week - Setting: 48 private rooms, 27 hallway stretchers, 9 Fast Track, 5 behavioral health rooms - EMR: MEDITECH (Meditech EMR experience a plus) Top Qualifications — Emergency Department RN / ER RN - Active RN license: Texas or compact state (required) - Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience (ED Nurse / ER RN) - Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, ENPC, TNCC, NIHSS - Experience caring for trauma and behavioral health patients preferred (trauma nurse, behavioral health nursing) - Strong multitasking, teamwork, and self-starting abilities - Ability to follow dress code (navy blue scrubs) Key Responsibilities — Emergency Department Responsibilities - Provide high-quality, compassionate care to ED patients in a fast-paced Emergency Department and Fast Track environment - Assess, triage, and monitor patients presenting with a range of acute, urgent, and critical conditions - Perform and assist with procedures: splinting, EKGs, central monitoring, trauma assists, central lines, airway support, rapid infuser use, and resuscitation - Manage behavioral health patients safely, including de-escalation and coordination with behavioral health rooms/team - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams: charge nurses, PCTs, paramedics, LVNs, and physicians - Maintain accurate documentation in MEDITECH EMR and participate in quality improvement initiatives Why Round Rock?
