Software Developer - Software Principal Engineer

The Software Engineering team is responsible for developing and delivering a variety of software technologies to a wide range of customers, from consumers to small businesses, to large public institutions and corporations. - The team spans a global workforce to deliver next-generation software application enhancements and new products for our changing world. Working at the cutting edge, we design and develop software for platforms, peripherals, applications, and diagnostics - all with the most advanced technologies, tools, software engineering methodologies, and the collaboration of internal and external partners.

What you'll achieve
As a Software Principal Engineer, you will be a part of a team in a very fast-paced, agile environment that requires strong technical ability, flexibility, sound judgment, and creative thinking. -In this role, you will be responsible for working closely with other technologists, architects, experience designers, product marketers, software developers, and validation engineers to create software solutions for Dell's products that encompass middleware components, applications, user interfaces, and cloud software layers.

You will:
Take part in the full software development life cycle, including architecture, design, development, test, continuous delivery, and be an enthusiastic member of an agile team, collaboratively realizing features through development, test, and delivery.
Define, plan, and develop Proof of Concepts for new features and solutions.
Document software architecture and requirements.
Build, document, maintain, and expand Software Development Kits.
Develops code and configuration data using secure coding practices
Ensures that all code, configuration data, and system documentation is accurate, complete, understandable, and adheres to company standards
Address security vulnerabilities by using tools to assure security, review outputs, and recommend corrective actions
Participate in product backlog refinement meetings to guide and answer any question about solution requirements.
Being part of code reviews to ensure correct architecture implementation and good software practices.
Engagement with external vendors to support new features.
Represent engineering teams in meetings with other development teams to align integrations.
Work and engage with remote development teams.

Essential Requirements
5+ years of experience in managing software development projects and developing software
Bachelors or Master's degree in computer science or related field
Familiar with coding, testing, reviewing in C++ or C# for Windows software
Ability to organize and manage multiple projects, setting priorities and being collaborative under bold timelines
Proficiency in writing and reviewing requirements, functional specifications, and design documents
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Desirable Requirements
Agility to adapt to new environments, technologies, and processes quickly
Understanding. troubleshooting and usage of Microsoft Windows Preinstallation Environment (WinPE)
Experience with Black Duck, Checkmark, and Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence)
Understanding the git source control system like GitHub
Experience working with remote teams
