S3 never asks for money during its onboarding process.” Job Title: Business Consultant Contract Length: 8 Month contract Remote Work Ref 245467 The Business Consultant provides deep subject matter expertise to support business objectives such as operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and improved competitive position. This role analyzes business problems, recommends strategies to achieve objectives, and leads cross-functional teams in developing or reengineering processes using requirements gathered from stakeholders. The consultant formulates process remediation and implementation strategies, prepares written assessments, and presents recommendations to executive-level audiences. The role also facilitates organizational change through effective communication, consensus building, and coordinated implementation planning. Key Responsibilities Provide subject matter expertise to support business initiatives related to operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and process improvement. Analyze complex business problems and recommend strategies to achieve organizational objectives. Lead cross-functional teams in developing or reengineering processes based on requirements gathered from stakeholders. Translate policy and process updates as well as regulatory or legal guidance into plain-language member communications across multiple delivery channels, including letters, emails, notifications, SMS, and in-app messages. Develop and update requirements documentation including both dynamic and static content using defined business rules. Prepare written assessments and executive-level presentations to communicate recommendations and project updates. Support release readiness activities including User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and post-release validation and monitoring. Define test scenarios and execute or coordinate test plans with business stakeholders. Communicate status, decisions, and impacts to leadership while providing concise executive summaries. Coordinate legal and compliance reviews for communication content. Work closely with Claims business stakeholders, IT delivery teams, Legal/Compliance, Content/Brand teams, and Digital teams to ensure a consistent member experience. Required Skills Communication expertise including plain-language writing and development of member-facing content across multiple delivery channels such as email, text, and print. Project management experience including handling approval workflows, gathering requirements, aligning with legal and brand standards, managing dependencies, and providing stakeholder updates. Strong attention to detail including accuracy in content, logic, rendering, and data fields across channels. Required Tools Microsoft Word Jira Microsoft PowerPoint Daily Responsibilities Using Required Tools Use Microsoft Word to develop and maintain requirements documentation and communication content. Use Jira to support approval workflows, track requirements, manage testing activities, and coordinate with delivery teams. Use PowerPoint to create stakeholder updates and executive-facing presentations. Additional Qualifications Proven experience defining communication content and coordinating Legal/Compliance reviews. Strong ownership of User Acceptance Testing including test planning, test case design, execution, defect management, and sign-off. Hands-on experience writing requirements artifacts. Demonstrated success working across IT and business stakeholders. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convert complex policy and process language into clear, member-friendly content. Claims experience is a plus.
