We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Equal Employment
Opportunity (EEO) Specialist to support and administer equal
employment compliance programs within a large, complex
organization. This role is responsible for ensuring adherence to
federal, state, and local employment laws; conducting internal
investigations; supporting compliance reporting; and promoting a
workplace culture grounded in fairness, equity, and
non-discrimination. The EEO Specialist serves as a subject-matter
resource for leadership and employees on EEO policies, workplace
investigations, reasonable accommodations, and regulatory
compliance. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong analytical
skills, sound professional judgment, discretion, and the ability to
manage sensitive matters in a structured and highly regulated
public-sector environment. Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience Requirements Minimum of 4–6 years of progressive
experience in EEO compliance, employee relations, HR compliance, or
workplace investigations Strong working knowledge of federal and
state employment laws, including Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, Equal
Pay Act, and applicable Texas labor regulations Experience
conducting workplace investigations, including interviewing parties
and witnesses, reviewing documentation, and preparing detailed
investigative reports Demonstrated experience responding to
internal complaints, external agency charges (e.g., EEOC), and
compliance inquiries Experience preparing and maintaining required
compliance documentation and EEO reports Ability to interpret and
apply employment laws, policies, and collective bargaining
agreements where applicable Experience supporting reasonable
accommodation processes and interactive dialogue procedures Strong
analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess
risk and recommend corrective actions Ability to maintain strict
confidentiality and manage sensitive employee matters with
professionalism Experience working in a large, complex, unionized,
or public-sector environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
and HRIS or case management systems Experience Preferences
Experience within a governmental, transportation, or highly
regulated public-sector organization Familiarity with OFCCP
requirements and affirmative action planning Experience preparing
responses to EEOC or Texas Workforce Commission charges Training or
certification in workplace investigations or employment law
Experience delivering EEO, harassment prevention, or compliance
training to employees and leadership Physical Requirements Ability
to work at a computer for extended periods Ability to review
detailed documentation and investigative materials for sustained
periods Ability to attend meetings, hearings, or interviews as
required Minimal physical exertion Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration,
Public Administration, Criminal Justice, or a related field Strong
written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical and
documentation skills Education Preferences Master's degree in Human
Resources, Public Administration, Employment Law, or related field
Professional certification such as SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR, or
workplace investigation certification Continuing education in
employment law, diversity and inclusion, or compliance management
