We can't wait for you to discover this for yourself as a Global Operations Engineer on our Product Operations Engineering team in Round Rock, Texas.Role OverviewLeads Operations Engineering with introduction, sustainment of new Enterprise Server, Storage, and Networking products worldwide. Responsible for management and implementation of systems, hardware, software & testing into the manufacturing environment. Practical application in basic and advanced problem solving methodologies to obtain root-cause to support continuous improvement throughout manufacturing process. Interfaces with internal/external x-functional development teams and leads regional extended teams. Ability to manage Suppliers/OEM's/CM's from supplier selection, factory bring-up through product launch and sustainment. Drives global strategic initiatives/projects supporting manufacturing improvements Role Responsibilities-Creates factory strategies/plans for Worldwide Operations based on product plans and roadmaps-Utilizes metrics to improve new production/process/product quality throughout life of the program-Ensures Operations achieves Ready to Ship Release through product development model/process-Drives quality improvements by risk assessment/mitigation eliminating sources of defects in the design, supplier and manufacturing processes-Communicate to executives on technical root-cause analysis, program status, deliverables and other-Ability to understand Electrical, Mechanical, Software and Test failure modesRequirements1-3+ years of experience in Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality and Problem Solving with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technical related field; 1+ years with a Master's degree-Works in global highly matrix organizations to communicate in verbal, written and graphical formats-Multi-task and program/project manage multiple projects / manufacturing related issues-Ability to drive technical issue resolution through advanced problem solving techniques-Program Management, must have managed from concept through final completion with reportingPreferences -6-Sigma Certification or equivalent required-Proved ability to drive action plans/strategies to reduce overall manufacturing transformation cost, cycle time and improve quality Benefits We offer highly competitive salaries, bonus programs, world-class benefits, and unparalleled growth and development opportunities - all to create a compelling and rewarding work environment.If you've got an eye for fine details and a commitment to quality in everything you do, this is your opportunity to develop with Dell.Company DescriptionWith more than 100,000 team members globally, we promote an environment that is rooted in the entrepreneurial spirit in which the company was founded.
