Job Description:

The RBT Regional Support position covers 4 clinics in the Austin market (S. Austin, Pflugerville, Cedar Park & Round Rock). Frequent travel required between ABA Connect service locations including clinics, clients' homes, and community settings within an assigned region or geographic areaThis position works directly with ABA Connect clients on his/her individualized ABA therapy program. You will be responsible for building and maintaining rapport, and keeping up to date on programming goals and implementing appropriate changes when directed by the BCBA for this child.Essential Job FunctionsReasonable accommodation will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions:Provide direct ABA therapy to clientTake data on each skillComplete program sheet for skills taught dailyNotify BCBA when criteria is met on specific skillsCommunicate with parents and other therapists/lead therapists/BCBA on issues, concerns, and progressBe on time for each session; stay the entire timeRequest need for time off with Administrative/Scheduling Coordinator at least two weeks in advanceNotify BCBA of any schedule changesUse basic knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) proceduresWork in a professional manner with clients and familiesCollect, analyze, and update data; organize/create materials, research activities, etc.Communicate effectively with parents, BCBA and other therapistsEnsure that all data entered correctly for sessionEnsure that session notes forms are completed correctly - they should be quantitative in nature, with correct start and end time of session and signed by you as the Therapists performing the service.Maintain over-learning and maintenance dataAssist with data summaries for Team Meeting reports (e.g., MLU, behavioral, etc.)Create/obtain materials as needed for programsAdditional DutiesKeep work area clean and disinfected (e.g., keep materials put away when not in use, etc.) Clean area after therapy sessionParticipate in general house cleaning for administrative hoursEngage in ongoing staff training as requested by BCBAAttend required meetings:Monthly Grand RoundsManagement Meetings (as needed)Other duties as assignedThis job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that required of the employee for this job. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time without notice.Physical Demands:Occasionally- less than 1/3 of the time; Frequently- 1/3-2/3 of the time; Regularly- over 2/3 of the timeMust be able to regularly assume a variety of repetitive postures (kneeling, squatting, crouching, sitting, standing, etc.) in the course of working with children with developmental disabilities and behavior problems.Must be able to frequently stand for sustained periods of time.Must be able to frequently keep pace with and restrain/hold/lift children in the course of behavioral management.Must be able to frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds on an occasional basisMust be able to regularly work in a highly stressful environment while maintaining a calm demeanor throughout daily interactions with clients, staff, and parentsMust have manual dexterity sufficient to regularly perform various keyboard functions.Must be able to regularly give and receive detailed information through oral communicationMust have visual acuity including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus .Must be able to frequently sit at a computer terminal for extended periods of time.Must be able to regularly travel to and from different in the areas served by ABA Connect.Must be physically present at the assigned job site.QualificationsRequired license or certification:Valid, current drivers license & current car insurance on vehicleCPR certificationRBT certification maintained - we will provide training and pay for licensing and testing fees for your RBTPreferred:Working towards or has obtained a Degree in Behavioral Science or related field (such as; Psychology, Special Education, Elementary Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, Occupational/Physical/Speech Therapy or Counseling/ Social Work)Education:RequiredHigh school diploma or equivalentAdditional Eligibility RequirementsFluent in spoken and written EnglishKnowledge of Autism and other developmental disordersKnowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)Previous experience working with a range of children with autism, developmental disorders or typically developing childrenExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to adapt to a changing environmentPassion for helping children achieve their full potentialAbility to work on a teamWilling to learn and implement new skills#RBT24by Jobble
