Job Description:

At Sage Veterinary Imaging our Technicians are key team players who work with our doctors and other staff to provide excellent patient care. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator who will work well on a small but close team that focuses on trust, collaboration, and efficiency. Key Objectives : Adherence to protocols and checklists Timely performance of patient procedures Exceptional patient care Professional, timely client interactions with accurate information provided Provide exceptional support to doctors and LVTs Key Responsibilities: Meet clients and facilitate pickup and drop-off procedures Secure patient histories and update ezyVet practice management software, present patient care estimates to clients and provide information on diagnostic imaging, therapeutic procedures, and surgical interventions recommended by the veterinarian. Assist in diagnostic imaging procedures including X ray, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, CT, and MRI Take patient vitals and perform diagnostics (blood tests, ECG, cytology, cultures, etc). Perform venipuncture, placement of IV catheter and administration of fluids, intubation, induction of anesthesia, and general surgery preparation under the direction of Licensed Veterinary Technicians and DVMs Carry out Radiation Safety protocols and support veterinarians in the administration of I-131 therapy Monitor anesthesia and vital signs during procedures and throughout recovery Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a veterinarian Maintain a working knowledge of common drugs in usage and their proper application Conduct general cleaning, maintenance of medical and lab equipment, and inventory management Other duties as required Requirements : Minimum of 1-year experience as a Veterinary Technician, willing to train the right candidate Interest in advanced diagnostic imaging procedures and the care, handling, and positioning of patients throughout, no previous experience in this area required Ability to follow procedures, SOPs, and protocols without deviation Patient first mentality and able to advocate to for the patient among all levels of staff Use of a ventilator is a plus. Reliable attendance and proactive execution of duties with proven ability to perform time sensitive takes efficiently Friendly and professional demeanor with the ability to work under pressure and remain calm in stressful situations both in a team environment as well as alone Excellent communication skills both in person, on the phone, and over written communications Familiarity with PC computer environments as well as chat based platforms such as Slack Basic math skills Employment Type: Full Time Years Experience: 1 - 3 years Salary: $21 - $28 Hourly Bonus/Commission: No
