Professional Mover And Driver

Job Description:

We are looking for a strong and professional mover to join our team. You'll be responsible for providing our residential and commercial clients with excellent customer service through the entire moving process. You'll safely load, transport, and unload the customers' belongings. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, works well with other team members, and is physically capable of strenuous work. Ready to join our growing moving company? Responsibilities:

Transport a variety of heavy, large, and fragile items carefully
Certify there are no items missing with client and team members before leaving
Wrap furniture in protective material
Review work orders and communicate with client on moving preferences
Pack moving truck with items to be moved to new location
--- Load, pack and unload items with care
--- Deliver and set up furniture inside client homes, as required or requested
--- Respond to inquiries and requests from clients in a professional manner
--- Protect all donated furniture from damage through established best practices
--- Collect payments and issue receipts
--- Assist clients with loading and unloading their luggage
--- Adjust the route to avoid heavy traffic or road constructions, as needed
--- Regular cleaning and maintenance services for the vehicle

Qualifications:

Applicant should be collaborative, reliable, and have excellent customer service and communication skills
High school diploma or GED is preferred, but not required
Applicants who have obtained a commercial driver's license (CDL) is preferred, but not required
Valid driver's license and clean driving record is required
Physical abilities such as stairs, bending, lifting, standing, and moving 50 pounds alone or 100+ pounds with team members are required
--- Proven work experience as a Mover or similar role
--- Knowledge of area roads and neighborhoods
--- Availability to occasionally take weekend and night shifts
--- Proven experience as a Driver
--- Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. at rush hour)
