Volt is immediately hiring for Maintenance Technician I in Austin, Texas.

As a Maintenance Technician I you will:
Perform electrical and mechanical repairs.
Install equipment, work tables, tools, or other items.
Follow process instructions, Manufacturing Standard Procedures (MSP's), and verbal instructions from supervisors.
Maintain records, checklists, and log books on maintenance performed and inspections conducted.
Keep tools and test equipment in a serviceable state.
Adhere to plant and corporate safety policies.
Maintain a neat and orderly work area.
Maintain calibration of measurement and test equipment, including all applicable records.
Fabricate and assemble production fixtures.
Monitor and adjust chemical baths.
Safely handle storage and disposal of chemicals.
Assist in other areas or perform other duties as required by fluctuating business needs.

This is a full-time opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
High School diploma or GED required.
Additional post-high school coursework or apprenticeship in a technical or mechanical area preferred.
1 or more years of work experience as a maintenance person in an industrial environment required.
Ability to communicate uncomplicated data, instructions, production results, and quality issues both verbally and in writing.
Ability to distinguish between the colors of red, orange, yellow, blue, green, and violet.
Proficiency in using precision measuring tools and equipment.
Familiarity with electrical and mechanical systems.
Ability to read, write, and follow written or verbal instructions.
Ability to speak, read, and write English.
High degree of manual dexterity and hand-to-eye coordination.
Ability to calculate basic mathematical functions and formulas, including ratios, percentages, and fractions.
Proficiency in using Excel spreadsheets, including writing simple formulas and creating spreadsheets.

Pay Rate: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour

Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
